Help for Troublesome Kundalini Awakening Symptoms

In order to deal with difficult kundalini awakening symptoms we need to first understand that these challenges are not ‘new’ problems to our system. They simply represent what was within us all along but we did not notice before.

Kundalini amplifies our awareness and it also amplifies our problems and therefore it presents us with challenges that we would have needed to solve anyway along our path – and it does so in a sometimes urgent and painful way.

For example, everybody has psychic energy moving around their body. Once kundalini has enlarged this energy and hightened our awareness it may lead to the frightening experience of energy churning in our abdomen. Also, everybody sometimes preceives ‘weird’ inner images but without kundalini we can simply ignore them and go on living in our daily normality. When kundalini is present the inner images can appear very ‘real’ and cause fear and confusion. However, all these experiences were within us before – just more unconscious.

Understanding that kundalini awakening symptoms are simply our amplified unresolved issues will make it easier to accept them – and then go to work to resolve them. It is paramount to be willing to work through all our problems as they arise in our kundalini awakening and not get overly upset in this process.

Can kundalini go away?

Once kundalini has opened up our unconscious minds there is no turning back. We have to change and the more willingly we embrace this challenge the easier our process will be. In actual fact, once we get in touch with the enormous gifts of kundalini we will not want it to go away again – because it is one of the greatest gifts a human being can receive. However, on our path to fully relish these gifts there are a few challenges we have to overcome.

What can we do about kundalini awakening symptoms?

* Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all advice for kundalini symptoms because the problems associated with it are as varied as there are people. Generally,  it is advisable to reduce excessive spiritual practices and adopt a life-style that is as healthy, gentle and wholesome as possible.

* It is important to adopt a spiritual perspective on life and read accounts of people who have gone through the same process and of spiritual people in general.

* Avoid any form of energy medicine because this type of treatment can exacerbate your symptoms further. For example, reiki or acupuncture is perfectly harmless for most people but for someone going through a kundalini process these forms of healing can actually make matters worse.

* In a best case scenario, you may find a mentor or therapist who is experienced with kundalini symptoms and who can guide you. If such a guide is not available it is advisable to find an ordinary therapist who supports a spiritual outlook in life.
